About Quinn Baxter

I have been a lifelong advocate and participant in sports, physical fitness, and personal development. This passion has opened doors for me to get involved in our community as an assistant trainer for youth hockey. It included both on and off the ice development programs. Hockey is a sport that I really enjoyed since starting league play at an early age with the encouragement and support of my parents.
But of all the sports I’ve played during childhood, it wasn’t until I got into high school, did I find my true calling… “Powerlifting”.
Loving, both the physical and mental challenge of this sport, I devoted most of my spare time to become an artisan of Powerlifting. As I reached the end of my high school years, I progressed from being a total newbie to winning a Provincial Powerlifting meet.
Since completing high school, I am now qualified to compete in a Nationally sanctioned Powerlifting competition, which I eagerly await… since it has been put on hold until after the pandemic.
Intrigued by the science of Powerlifting and personal development for myself and others, I entered University to study ”Kinesiology”. Kinesiology… addresses physiological, bio-mechanical, and psychological dynamic principles and the mechanisms of movement. I thought this would be a good career choice since it compliments my lifelong passions and ambitions.
The University of Waterloo has allowed me to expand even further with my endeavours. I am involved with training the varsity athletes as a strength and conditioning coach, a position that I find extremely rewarding and intuitive. I also volunteer as a Powerlifting coach at my old high school, and I am proceeding forward towards getting my “Personal Trainer’s Certification”.
On a side note… my loving parents have also engaged a mentor for me with years of experience in business. This training will allow me to realize and monetize my life to its fullest potential after graduation. Can’t Wait!!!
